My life hangs in the balance
It's clear it could go either way
The direction that it takes
Is left for me to say
I have no further questions
Of what is possible for me
It is time for me to choose
There's nothing left for me to see
I seek not adulation
I seek not honors and great fame
I seek not wealth and riches
I seek not first for me to win the game
I'm told these things I do not seek
Will come to me in ways I've never known
I'm told the world will shift in ways unfamiliar
When my bold commitment then is shown
I seek to be a loving shepherd
Faithfully tending to each and every sheep
I make this sacred promise
A promise I commit my life to keep
I am a partner of the angels
And seek their counsel every day
I shall bond in sacred human partnership
To fulfill the promise that I say
I am a child of god
I need be nothing more or less
I am a servant of humanity
For all divinity to bless
I am blessed to be alive
I shall live in heaven here on earth
I am but a humble servant
From this day on, if not from birth
